Sure, Dave can play a little guitar. The thing is, he was so busy with
arrangements of the songs he wrote in the old days the davesicle
got a little dusty. I personally don't really care about his geetar
skills.

About the i'll wait thing...on the 1984 boots on this website, you can hear synthesiser with the lead guitar...but I guess the keyboard could be programmed to play a little while ed was doin the solo.

I believe Roth played acoustic guitar on the begining of Ice Cream Man, the rythmn on Could This Be Magic, and i think the begining of Full Bug....if not that one, then maybe Big Bad Bill.

For the record, Dave plays on "Ice Cream Man", "Full Bug", and "Could This Be Magic", which is an acoustic duet with Eddie. You can clearly hear the two guitar parts in the song.

If Eddie ever pulls his head out of his ass long enough to appear on stage with David Lee Roth again, the encore should be the two of them playing that song.
