The clinical definition is running around on stage, looking as if you are having a great time, not knowing what the hell you are playing, and having a sudden urge to break down in tears and say thank you....
Usually a side effect is hiring a fat, out of tune, beach bum...who has a hankering for tequilla...
Todays state of music suks. I rarely by any cd's anymore. Aside from Velvet Revolver I honestly can't remember the last cd I purchased. My music consists of classic bands, Van Halen, Zep, Sabbath, Preist,ZZ Top, and many more, that, to me is music. Today's shit is exactly that shit. Listen to any rock radio station anywhere in NA and 90% of the music they play is pre 90', that alone says alot about the state of music.

1. Ed has invented Alzheimer's shredding on the guitar
Well, he's flubbed most of his parts and has cliff-notes on the neck of his git-fiddle. Verdict: TRUE
2. The use of tarps to fill empty seats
Ticket sales don't lie. They're doing badly. Van-Fucking-Halen now plays to empty seats. Verdict: Sad but true. Next stop: County fairs and weddings
3. The heaviest lead singer in rock history
Meatloaf's left thigh outweighed Hagar. Verdict : FALSE
4. Over-hyped media frenzy with food coupon vouchers included with ticket purchase
VERDICT: Verified true. Must-see concert events do not have a "Come see the show and we'll credit you a hamburger" sales pitch. The guy who comes up with used car lot promotions must be doing Van Halen's marketing now.
5. A Van Halen that can't play Unchained....
Verdict: Verified true by multiple concert attendees. One of his signature riffs and he messes it up?!?!?!
Ok, numb-nuts there was only one inaccuracy there and we can't fault that since meatloaf was a looooong time ago.
Dave and Slash together could have done something good. too bad they didnt happen. Scott Weiland although did a great job with the new band Velvet Revolver isnt a perfect fit. his stlye went along the way sometime ago and really dont prefer him. pretty sad this is the best stuff out today though. seeing Dave front that band would have worked out better and believe it would have kikd ass.

In pittsburgh B 94 one of the 2 top 40 hits stations was replaced with a rock station that plays a good mix of classic rock with new stuff.
