This is a classic rock poll.

In my opinion, Bono does not belong in the top 10 of a classic rock frontman list . I have never viewed U2 as a classic rock band.

            Just my 2 cents

Freddie Mercury is my pick for #1. A great showman....an incredible voice, and alot of musical talent. Nobody quite like him.

"You know, now that I think about it, it's going to take a little longer to sew up that shirt than I was thinking."
                  "Hi Fluffy, how you been?"
"Now that I'm thinking of it even more, it's going to take half the time, Double D, Diamond Dave! Would you hold Fluffy?"
                  "N--- yeah."

Bono definitely does not suck. You can point to a list of rock n roll frontmen who are true originals. Dave's on that list. So's Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Mick Jagger. Bono belongs on that same list. Every band that wasn't trying to be Van HALEN in the 80's was trying to be U2. Bands like Coldplay are STILL trying to be U2. And the fact that they're still here, with the same four guys 25 years later, that has to count for something.

Yeah...I can agree with that FORD...

I'm a U2 fan...and thought the Rock songs on the last album were fantastic...

anyone that went to the Zoo shit...and doesn't think U2 is classic rock...is insane...he should be higher...

And Hec...you nailed that one...Morrison should be five...right behind Roth...

I would then follow up with any of those five in the top five could be interchangable...

                            and fag or not...Mercury was a frontman...and a showman...

I'm not a big Queen fan...but he certainly belongs top five....
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

*Note to self* No Bono comments.
Those lists are subjective to put it mildly.
I'll give Dave the #1 spot over Freddie.
Bon Scott, Wendy O Williams, Lux Interior, Mick Jagger, Phil Lynott,
Dee Snider, Joan Jett, etc....it's only rock and roll and the list goes
                              on.
