Well, that's a surprisingly shitty choice, given all the classic rock legendary acts that have done the show in recent years. I wouldn't exactly rank the Black Eyed Peas with The Stones, U2, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty, The Boss, Prince, or What's Left of The Who. Do they even HAVE 12 minutes of material anybody watching the Super Bowl would recognize, or are they just gonna cut the sound and tell "Fergie" to shake her ass?Eat Us And Smile

The Van Halen rumors have circulated just about every year since 2000, but this is one time when it would actually make sense for them to have the gig. Throw snippets of the big hits in there and right in the middle, they could drop the new single (assuming the time table often reported for 2011 is accurate).

I don't think they are THAT bad. I actually dig "Will i. am." as an entertainer. Their tunes always have a catchy hook and are pretty funny and clever. I actually like the tune called "Meet me Half way"
