      exactly.

Do we really need to watch a video later of Eddie in his garage recording guitar and Dave mailing in the vocals from his basement? The FedEx guy would be a star.

Slim and none, with emphasis on the latter. I do hope that you're using the word "reunion" as a joke here, because it ain't one.

Yet another terrific name for your band.

The idea of Van Halen filming a documentary about recording it's latest album would indicate that the band's brain trust is somehow in tune with what the fans would like to see. One look at the group's official web site and it's "Happy New Year" message dating from December 2009 should quickly put an end to such a foolish notion.

I was going to say the same thing. Who cares if they document it. Nobody would be allowed to see it anyway.

You never can tell with Vh. But, based on their total disregard for their fans, we'd probably be lucky to see a blurb on Entertainment Tonight..

True. Something as simple as a few updates on their website shows A) A total disregard for the fans and B) Zero faith in what they are attempting to do as a band,(working with Dave).

I agree with all of the above. No way in hell will anything like that happen.
If, over the past decade, there had been ANY indication that the fans were being taken into consideration, we would have already had some kind of live DVD from the 1978-1984 era.

But, they have made it quite obvious up in the clouds surrounding Howdy Doody Mountain that they do not give a rat's ass what the mere mortals want.

The part of the whole biz that is a bit of a bummer (for me anyway) relates to how Roth has become totally hermetic since hooking up with the Van Halens.

I'd say his whole reason for staying quiet is that he wants to remain employed. He knows that he created friction in the past by talking too much. He's no longer a quarter share employee with a say in anything, so he keeps his mouth shut and draws a paycheck.
