You'll never guess who sported a classic VH t-shirt on Leno.

My older brother went to the 1984 show in San Diego. I mowed 2 neighbors lawns so I would have $10 to give him to bring me back a t-shirt. I woke up the next morning early to watch my cartoons and outside my bedroom door was the shirt. Was worth every blade of grass I cut & gopher hole I nearly busted my ankle stepping on.

I don't mind the hipster celebs wearing the shirts all too much. Any publicity is good publicity. It's a whole lot better than Van who...?

Amen sir. My God, the lawns i mowed to earn money to buy Van Halen merch. I must pay homage to anyone that did the same.

Regarding these young celebs that wear this stuff, i can only hope that some of their young following check out some CVH to see what the fuss is about. I dare to say one listen of the good stuff and their life will be forever changed.

Black Diver Down tour shirt. I had the same one in high school. The lion of the front and Van Halen on a grid on the back.

This can only mean that Justin is doing a duet w. Dave for the next VH album.

Nah, more likely he'll turn out like Leif Garrett.

He should start getting ready, because before you know it Celebrity Rehab 2024 will be right around the corner.

Yeah. Even if not as bad off as Leif, you can't really say Britney Spears and the likes have had an easy road. Drugs, rehab, divorces, bastard kids, tabloids, jail, etc....

The chances of him doing what Justin Timberlake did are extremely slim. Timberlake has surprised everyone with his staying power and it just seems he gets even more popular every year. Crazy.

But remember back when Timberlake had his "tough" phase. Then he had his Barry White phase. Then he was a comedian for a short bit. The he was TV commercial guy. Now he is movie star guy.

Beiber is going to have to make perfect career decisions to hold on to his relevance.

More likely with Wolf in a yin/yang kind of thing. Similar vibe as Ebony & Ivory...but titled Skinny & Fattie..... Auto-Tune / Piped In Bass......Dad On My Gravy Train / I'm On Dads Gravy Train......Who Ate The Sammich / I Ate The Sammich.

There. I just gave them the first 4 titles for their compilation album.

Kinda torn on this one....while I think it's cool the younger generation even knows who VH are, even if they don't know the music, kids will see them wearing these shirts and wonder who the hell VH is. Some may even go as far as checking out their music.......

Just why does it have to be the lamest of the lame who are sporting these tees

It's a positive thing ultimately. The people sporting these shirts have the same I.Q. as a billboard or a bumper sticker anyhow, so why not be one? At least then they can honestly say that they serve some kind of purpose in life.
If Snoozie from Jersey Shore wore a VH 1980 Invasion shirt, then more power to her....the way I see it, that's free advertising.

Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison have not only maintained their place in popular culture, they became legends and icons. Why? Because dorks and morons that try to 'fit in' are running around sporting their shit.

                        Why not Van Halen?

Don't forget about all of the Jerry Garcia shirts. Also, the teenagers i see with their Dead bumper stickers, knowing they can't even name a Dead album.
