                              It seems to me reading lots of stuff out there on the interweb apart from nostalgia reasons Van Hagar has not aged well at all and you don't get many newcomers to it. EEAS era Roth is the same apart from the Vai cult which shouldn't be underestimated, anything with Vai playing generates lots of interest on YouTube for example.

                              Classic Van Halen though is a different thing entirely, it has matured very nicely and despite the best efforts of Eddie will live on like the Stones, Beatles and Mozart.

                              Hagar will be a musical footnote like Salieri.
