Not necessarily.... if the rumors are true of Eddie having a meth problem during the Velveetapalooza 2004 tour (and possibly afterwards). Stimulant addictions raise the metabolism, which might seem like a good thing at the time, but the downside is that once you stop using said stimulant, your metabolism goes entirely in the opposite direction and you gain weight, regardless of eating habits. It's true of any stimulant from ritalin to nicotine to cocaine & meth.

Don't know if Eddie quit tobacco (and I kinda doubt he did) but if he actually quit more than one stimulant drug in a short amount of time, the metabolism slow down would probably be even worse.

I know a lot of old school cocaine users say you can't score good coke anymore and some of the shit they are peddling is cut with meth. My theory is Ed started doing coke again and the meth was in that. He was strung out on something bad and when VH was doing coke in the 80's, it wasn't making then look like the crypt keeper with their teeth falling out. Roth would look like shit if that was the case.

They are just putting some bad shit in the drugs right now and even Keith Richards says the quality today sucks so bad it's not worth the bother.

Around 1989 Ed had kind of a water bloated look or something. He has that now again. Maybe it is from going on and off certain drugs. I remember someone (Val or Sammy) saying Ed could eat a ton of food, wash it down with a 12 pack of beer and still stay thin. I guess he lives off of mainly pizza and beer or did.

Eddie says they are rehearsing for a tour in the beginning of next year. I have to assume he means 2011 as they then ask him about the Paula Abdul bullshit, and that happened awhile back last year.

There is a circuit of restaurants in Los Angeles that you go to for the primary reason to be seen. BOA steakhouse is another. They are notorious paparazzi hotspots. Celebrities don't go there to enjoy a nice meal, they go to be seen & see other celebrities.

So it's not all that random & the celebrities expect the cameras. Just wish Ed would have talked more or the guy asked him a real question. I did like seeing Alex going solo. Maybe the dude has finally sworn off women for good. God knows they have fucked him over enough.

I'm surprised no VH superfan that lives near LA has parked their ass in front of Eddies property waiting to catch a glimpse of Dave driving in to the studio. (hint hint)

But it's a fine line doing that because the studio is also Eddies home. The guy deserves his home privacy...but if it were just the studio, all bets are off. I drove up there once sightseeing in LA and kept a very safe distance from all the stars homes I viewed. However we did see Ozzy out in his front driveway with a bunch of people. That was kinda cool.
