Initially I was not going to comment further on this site as it seems like a waste of time and opinions but I just had to respond to scottydabodi’s superbly eloquent comments.

I never said I didn’t like Dave. My opinion, in a more civil and non-inflammatory presentation is that if Dave really wanted to hook up with the band again things in BOTH camps needed to change… mostly on Dave’s side. He needs to check his huge ego at the door and make it work. Maybe this can be construed as ass kissing which would be unbecoming for any of these guys. But if they could have just put all the shit behind them and did it for the music it would have worked. Even more importantly is that nobody should try to dominate the show. True, EVH is twisted in many ways but it’s no secret that Dave IS the biggest deterrent to any possible successful reunion. Note that I said successful. Granted, DLR was great in the early years but can any of you honestly admit to the fact that Dave has been and will always be a big pain in the ass to work with? I know I’m going to get verbally butt-fucked by many of you now, I guess it’s just the nature of this site. At least all of you are awake and on the edge of your seats and I have your attention don’t I? Why do you think my original post was so nasty? Kind of like a hard nosed football coach telling a player he's nothing but a worthless piece of shit when he F's up. Makes the guy try harder. Thank you very much! But in all fairness with all the reality shows like Ozzie’s, Paris Hilton and the rest of the lame crap they are airing I think a Diamond Dave Show would be equally successful. All of you should collectively write the studios en masse and demand …

P.S. I do not own a single Slammy record. But I do own ALL VH recordings. Even some rare early release LP and 45 records with pristine sleeves, and some early promotional industry records from 1978 and ’79. I know a good thing when I see it.
