Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!

EEAS reunion would be bad ass. Billy is bored with mr. Big. I don't blame him. In spite of his credentials, Paul Gilbert is void of any real emotion.

Eddie and his son are the weak link.

The thing is that at least an EEAS reunion would get to 95% of the original instead of the 65% the current VH line up gets to...

At no point did either use the other neck...

To me any attempt at bass solo's or lead stuff is kind of like a chimp on a bike.

Bikes are not designed for chimps, it's a little interesting that some chimps can actually do it but it's basically pointless and get's old fast.

Gilbert is an accomplished technician. Of that there is no doubt. However, his playing does nothing for me.

And to follow up with you and Terry. Deal being. Bass without Soul just kinda confuses people. Billy's Tone....sigh....no deep end...it is like choosing the wrong skins on your drums.....no bounce....no deep *pong....no snap. It is like he has never played an upright bass (I am sure he has) or listened to Bluegrass. Now Geddy Lee can make it quick and deep and you know he can hang with "speed"...but again....Why? Is the Bass supposed to be singing the Tenor's part?

Keep them away from young kids' learning music is my advice.

And I know that Mr. Big has talent. Just thought that when Vai and Dave and Sheehan hooked up it would be a certain type of BAND vibe...instead...it still felt like Hired Guns. I know Dave liked the Big Band Drummer also....but I thought he was really the one that killed the Band experience on EEAS....never saw any FIRE out of of that Mullet Head. Luzier was the best drummer Dave ever had outside of Alex. Just as always IMHO.

And it is hilarious to watch Sheehan do "Guitar Face" in that clip...lol he never looks like that when he plays bass....

The sheer amount of "guitar faces" being made in the 80s across the board...like they're either having an orgasm via guitar penis proxy OR performing the greatest magic trick in the world...SO much false strain and faux angst...it's like "relax, dude...you're a guitar player...it ain't a cancer cure".

Vai in particular used to make those faces like his shit didn't stink to the point where it appeared more arrogant than anything else.

I laugh when I think about that shit now. Just play the damn thing and save the facial expressions for when you're spanking the monkey.
