Currently battling with a DJ. Need a little Roth Army help...

I am at work and listening to a radio station on Windows Media Player (BostonPete.com Radio Network). I am listening to this because my company will not give me access to Pandora and God forbid I bring my fucking iPod in, but I digress....

Anyway, I am working a 10 (ten) hour day and shot this guy an email asking for some more Van Halen. Romeo Delight. Fools. Outta Love Again. SOMETHING! So he puts on Van Hagar. Now, I appreciate the thought but it wasn't what I wanted, so I sent him another email asking for CVH.

Apparently he did not appreciate my request as he put on "Why Can't This Be Love?" So I send him back a Dave quote, "Dave would never ask why this can't be love. Dave would just assume love is already in the equation."

Anywho, I still got 5 and a half hours to go and I am looking for some support from the Army. Maybe shoot this guy an email (johnny@bostonpete.com). Stating what? I don't care. Whatever. Ask him to play some CVH awesomeness. Maybe he will with enough requests. Or just call him a douche for being douchey. Or just feel bad for me that I have to work my bullshit job for 10 hours today. Regardless, have a good one.

Ok bro...here's what I sent just now.

      To: johnny@bostonpete.com

      Re: Listener request

Hi there. Just a friendly listener request for more REAL Van Halen. Please no more irrelevant Journey-esque Sammy Hagar era songs. That time has passed, and even Mr Hagar doesn't play those songs live anymore. It's time radio stations follow his lead and remove them from their playlists as well.

David Lee Roth is back as Van Halens leader for one simple reason...it's the right thing to do. So I compel you, just as Wilfred Brimley compels us to eat our daily oats....please play more REAL David Lee Roth helmed Van Halen.....It's the right thing to do.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and placement of some kick ass tunes to help me through my day.

      Sincerely.....

      REAL Van Halen fan

You're my hero, brother man. He just played Top Jimmy and it was awesome. Thanks again.

EDIT: Quoting Wilfred Brimley was classic.

Ugh. Now it's "When it's Love". I feel as though he is totally doing this on purpose.

What killed radio was corporations buying up the stations and fairness doctrine. Everyone is so scared to say anything wrong it shows.

I think we're missing the underlying point of this all: Working 10 hours on Sunday sucks ass.

                        Yes & no.

What is worse is looking for work for 10 hours on a Sunday.

                        I think this is appropriate.....

But yeah....Sundays were meant for bikinis, bbq, cold drinks, warm sun, and reeling in a HUMONGOUS fish!

What is killing the world is little minded big esteem issue city council members and local city mayors passing laws that levy huge unbelievable fines against people without the peoples input of, say, on these laws .

These part time hemmoriod commercial actor wannabees seem to me to have a need to be remembered by a statue in the city park like they can and still have the opportunity to sign the Declaration Of Independence or some goddamn need that creates a sickness in our communities.

Much like the Radio Practices review board < I don't know thier nom ?

These heavy fines have silenced the DJ's.
And are eroding social justice from the small town out.

I just recently got turned on to Pandora - it's pretty cool. Nice blend of music for backgound noise during the day.
