Presuming there's anything to actually keep under wraps, very doubtful VH would give Eddie Trunk any inside info. If for no other reason than Trunk would have to use it on air. Watching the Trunk interview with Biff Malibu, it was clear Trunk knew less than Anthony about what was going on in Van Halen, which is to say neither of them know any more than the rest of us.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

The odds of anything being released on a three day holiday weekend are pretty slim. Tuesday would be the earliest you would probably see or hear anything. Not to mention Tuesday is the "traditional" release date for anything musical anyway.Eat Us And Smile

I think it would be a major missed opportunity if VH doesn't release something this summer. Another in a long line of missed opportunies. VH is summertime rock. Roth knows this. It's gotta be driving him crazy working with Edwad the musical tortoise. The idea of an EVH produced record is not a good sign either. Eds a guitarist (and a questionable one as of late), not a producer but we all know that.
I'm not expecting too much from this rumored "album" but I hope it has one or two pleasant surprises... Who knows?
I'll say this; If we manage to get a record out of this lineup I doubt we'll ever get another one. The question is... Will we want another one?Comment

It just seems unthinkable that they would go on tour in September - in a country where they have NEVER played before (no, VDIII does not count!) without a new record on the radio. They might end up headlining a festival where half the audience doesn't even know who the Hell they are.Eat Us And Smile

If this statement was on Van Halens site, I'd agree. but this is Daves site. he has not mislead us yet. He has always told the fans the truth and never needlessly hyped us up over nothing. That's not how he operates. I have a helluva lot more faith in this "get ready" coming from Dave as meaning something is coming up fast.“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. Sorry I love this song. I remember when I heard Eddie promote it on radio. The DJ played and Cued up the short version. Eddie just said you got to play the end.....this is after Dave was already gone again. Dave makes Eddie play better Period.(------Period.
So if Dave is excited: Here is your 5 minute plus song that shows how Dave can play with Vai (of 11 minute song fame with Zappa) and also take Eddie in the correct direction. MWM could have been a Coda on Fair Warning. I cannot wait after you punk rockers get this album, that the 2nd VH collaboration makes the next album....that one will be even sweeter. Enjoy Aussies.
