    Wait a second.....

Did that douche say that WACF had more of an edge?

WACF is a fucking stellar album. I might rank it as my 3rd favorite of the classix six.

    But more edge? Really?

All three of them are class A douchebags. I haven't yet figured out which one is the bigger douche as they're all pretty equal in that catagory.

Eddie Trunk might have a slight edge though, as he's one of those misguided twats who continue to value the Hagar years over the proper lineup, not to mention he perpetuates the lie that Van Hagar out earned Roth era VH.

That had to be the most fucking idiotic conversation about those two albums that I've ever heard...yeah...WACF has more of an "edge?"

            Really...

            really...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

They took one of the most exciting periods of rock and roll history and made it more boring than the worst church sermon or insurance seminar you ever heard. We all lived through the period they are yacking about. We went to the shows, bought the albums and partied to those songs. Some even hung out on the Sunset strip during that time. Do we really need these jack offs to analyze what we already fucking experienced in real time?

WACF and Fair Warning are apples and oranges. Every classic VH album has a new twist to it. They all are different.

For a music show it kind of suffers a bit by not having any music on it and surely these can't be the 3 most likeable, witty, fun, guys around to present it.

Does anyone know when this was recorded, Jani Lane doesn't look like he's at deaths door...?

I'd give the edge to Fair Warning personally, but just because I can't figure out the descending move in the One Foot Out the Door solo.

It is apples and oranges though; both albums are brilliant.

My take on it is that it's better than nothing... I find both comedians corny as hell, but they love their hard rock/metal, that's good enough for me....

For a show that supposedly sucks, classic VH sure comes up a lot on there. Last week they had Tony Iommi on there which was pretty damn cool. I don't know why everyone bitches about this show so much. Enjoy the good things that it has to offer and don't worry about the rest FFS.

Depends how you define 'Edge' - I think they mean aggression and heaviness (it is called 'That METAL Show', afterall). In those terms, WACF does have more edge.

Although WACF is my fav CVH record, I wouldn't hesitate to cal FW their best: most adventurous, most emotional, and richest in tersm of lyrics, vibe and song-writing.

I can't say that one is better than the other. Of the 6-pack, I go to those two more than the others.

Lately I've been playing Van Halen II alot, but I think that's only because it's summer, and that's the ultimate summer album.

WACF and Fair Warning both stand on their own for different reasons, and to argue about which one is 'better' is really kinda stupid.
