I like how Sam has to deny a rumor that isn't even a rumor.

I agree... there was never any rumor or even consideration of one.

Maybe a bit of wishful thinking that Michael might have a shot... but there's more reality in a beer fart in a whirlwind where Ed is cuntcerned.

Safe following Spam Haggis, what did poor MA have left after being fired from VH like a rat?...

Anyway, what a drag how Hagar keeps opening his big fat mouth while the VH camp keeps so desperately mute
and let us feed with neverending rumors...

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that, to the utter disbelief and sheer surprise of no one except me, I was not asked nor will I be playing bass on that new Sabbath album.

Let me get this straight. He said this at a Chickenfoot show? I mean, good grief, you'd think his own faithful would be heckling him to shut the fuck up and let it go. It is odd, too how he forms the sentiment as if he and Mike are joined at the brain somehow. It's like Mike, in some remote way, has always left his door open in an "anythings possible" kinda way. Sammys the guy brushes his elbow up against Mikes door just enough to shut him in the Foot locker. Even if Mike is destined not to return to VH, he doesn't have to sidle his ass with Hagar for the rest of his days. But hey, whatever floats his boat, huh?

Wasn't Dave crying for years to be let back in to VH? Didn't he mention VH in every interview he did? didn't he embarrass his legacy with the Boston Pops thing and his " country Dave" crap? All the while performing on in little halls where you could get a ticket 5 minutes before showtime? Dave knew in '89 he screwed up by leaving. He was a sideshow out ofVH. He was begging to get back in, doesn't sound like Sam is.

                    Shut the fuck up, sheep.

For starters, Dave helped create VAN HALEN. It was just as much his baby as it was Ed or Al's. But no, Dave was never crying to get back into the band.

Mentioning Dave in the same way as Sambo's role in VH shows how much you know - which is very little.

You need shearing sheep. Send this fucker to the Pen.

Your singer's Van Halen tour lost money and ended in disaster. Our singer's Van Halen tour ended successfully and now we have a new album coming. The grapes are getting pretty sour, huh?

WHAT?? Dave went on any show that would have him and gave the same stale diatribe. All he talked about was vh and getting back together, wrote about it in his book, he was fading into obscurity. Funny how you deny this and immediately return to bashing Sam. Diversion is a tactic of desperation. Who cares about numbers? Didn't daves solo albums sell less and less with each one? The country thing was desperation, yeah he helped form vh, then thought he was bigger than vh and is now the bitch of vh. The first six albums were killer, but he ain't got that stuff no more.

Roth wanted back in Van Halen in 1996 and beyond (not too sure where the year 1989 plays into your scenario, since that year saw Roth coming off a successful solo album and arena tour). He made no bones about that. As for embarrassing his legacy, at least he (unlike Hagar) had a legacy of excellence TO embarrass. I, for one, was glad when Roth hit the smaller halls in 1999-2006. The show he was putting on in those years was MILES above the TOTAL embarrassment Van Hagar brought to the road in 2004.

                              by: Reya Hart

                              ....

Recently the Grammy Foundation tweeted, "Who do u predict the reuniting band will be @ #GRAMMYnoms? Does this hint make u wanna 'Jump' & 'Dance the Night Away'?" – a not-so-subtle hint about a Van Halen reunion at the Grammy nominations concert. But Hagar said any reunion wouldn't include him. "If Van Halen play, it will be Dave [David Lee Roth], Eddie [Van Halen], Alex [Van Halen], and Wolfie [Wolfgang Van Halen], his kid – it wouldn't be Mike [Anthony] and I. First of all, we wouldn't be invited and second of all, if we were invited, we probably wouldn't do it. If Eddie is in the same condition he was the last time I saw him, I don't want to step onstage with him."
                              ...

                              http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...e-him-20111110
                              1) Was anyone under the illusion that any impending or theoretical Grammy announcement regarding Van Halen concerned itself in any way with Sammy Hagar being back in the band?

                              2) Hagar is right in that he and Mike Anthony wouldn't be invited to said festivities, thus making the contention that they wouldn't do it if asked moot. Besides, Hagar and Anthony would both jump at the chance for another tour with the Van Halen brothers if asked. The nonsense they pulled at the RnRHoF in 2007 of showing up, speaking and playing when nobody else connected with Van Halen did is proof positive of that.

                              3) If Hagar is so happy in Chickenfoot, why does he continually keep stating that he won't play with Eddie Van Halen if Eddie is in the condition he was in 2004-2005? This is easily the 10th such statement [Hagar] has made since Roth rejoined the fold and Chickenfoot released their first album. It smacks of a rather lame attempt to convey to Eddie via the press (this route being a necessity, since probably he and Eddie haven't spoken in 6 years) that Hagar hasn't fully closed off the option of rejoining the band.

                              4) At this point, while it would have been the right thing to do in having Anthony there for the Roth reunion on the last tour, for me if it comes down to having Anthony in the band with Hagar as part of the deal or having Roth in the band with Ed's kid as part of that deal, I'll take the latter. Yes, a full-on CVH reunion would be preferable, but if a choice has to be made then Wolfie it is.

Fucking Hagar. An answer to a question nobody asked.

In Van Halen's prime, Dave WAS Van Halen. No, there wouldn't have been a Van Halen without Eddie and Alex and Mike. But there damn sure wouldn't have been a Van Halen without Dave. When VH was at the height of their popularity, when they ruled MTV, Friday Night Videos and every other music video show, Dave was the face of Van Halen. Where was Eddie? Where was Alex? Where was Mikey? No where. And who was all over every TV outlet there was? David Lee Roth.

Should Dave have left Van Halen when he did? Who the FUCK knows. I wasn't there during rehearsals and neither were you. It was 1985 for God's sake! Dave's 4 cut EP had sold over a million copies - a MILLION fucking copies for a 4 cut cassette tape! He was all over TV and at the same time he was trying to drag Ed's ass into Ed's own studio to work on a new album. Even Sammy has said in interviews that Ed would show up late as hell and drunk as hell when they were supposed to record. And Dave SAID in his book that the average rock band has a shelf life of what, 3 years??? And this was 1985!!! And he was trying to get Eddie to work and it wasn't happening. Should Dave have left? If YOU were in Dave's shoes in '85 would you have left? Or would you have stuck it out and just waited for Eddie to decide to work? How'd that work out for Mikey? For fuck's sake, he stuck by their side and did NOTHING for how many years??? And what did that get him?

Look, I get that you hate Dave and that you stir the shit every chance you get. I don't even know if you're a Sammy fan. But if you are then I've got news for you - Sammy still plays the Van Hagar tunes every chance he gets. Just last month the Van Halen News desk had a link to a live performance from Sammy's birthday bash. You can check him out any time you want to. And I would be shocked if his site didn't have a forum for you to freely bash everything that Dave has done since leaving Van Halen. All I'm trying to say is that I don't go to a website devoted to some famous person just to bash the shit out of that person, all in an attempt to relish the shit that is thrown back at me.
