Dave just played in front of 500,000 people.
Nickelback and 3 Doors Down are doing extremely well. They sold out Detroit 2 weeks before the show. The show was great.
Though I am not a fan but Prince is selling out most venues also.

- only 13 shows been played so they will be higher in total revenue by the end of the tour. if you look at the current pace, by the end of the tour if they continue pace, they will be just outside of the top 10 of total gross
***assuming no one else moves up, and i know the gross is higher since the ticket prices are way overpriced

- it really wouldnt matter who the singer was, they screwed their fanbase so many times that people do not want the VH name anymore. thats why all the discs are in the bargain bin.

- tour with sammy isnt doing well but some shows have been close to sellouts, they oversold their worth and are paying for it with lots of empty seats...as gslinger said though, they got guaranteed money so what do they care.

- rush isnt listen on in the top 100...dont know how many dates they have played but they arent on there.

- countless articles have stated how awful the industry is right now. only ones doing well are madonna, prince, simon & garfunkel, and country artists.

Like I posted earlier the following rock bands are ALL doing much better than the "mighty" VAN HAGAR. Take a look: FMAC 9,847 per night, Aerosmith 9,492 per night, Metallica 13,035 per night, The Eagles 9,676 per night AS COMPARED WITH VHAGAR 7,068 per night. Hell even Kid Rock is averaging almost 1,000 more people a night than VHAGAR. Hagar fans living in denial. My day has been made.

A lot of people said that about Dave when he went on tour with the DLR Band - but after they saw the show - they shut the hell up. People who say DLR is washed up obviously haven't seen the 2004 pension plan tour.
