Same here. Let's hope for a gig in Europe and finally have a meeting there. I still remember talking with Sesh 7-8 years ago when he was visiting Denmark, while I lived on the other side of it, but I was broke and officially homeless back then.Originally posted by Cato

I got a hotel room at the airport in London, stayed up half the night talking to friends on the phone, posting here and drinking.
I woke up 10 minutes before my flight and missed it which meant I was going to miss the internal flight in Denmark too so I never went.
The whole thing was a total fuck up of biblical proportions and an insane waste of money, at least I didn't stand you up as well...
Lucky I owned the company or I would have been sacked.Comment

Flights are actually a bit cheaper than they used to be if you shop around but I can't make the dates work on a cheap flight.
Including tickets and hotel it's coming in at about £1300 a head for a 3 day trip which is hard to justify...Comment

Couple of rumours - van halen will be second on the bill to black sabbath at download festival and there will be a UK VH tour in sep.
These originate from soneone talking to someone associated with Chickenfoot outside their gig last night.
Probably BS but with the lack anything else thought i'd pass it on.Comment

Have Black Sabbath not pulled out yet due to illness?
If the person was outside a Chickenfoot gig then they are by definition an idiot hole.Comment

If they want to generate interest in Van Halen, but can't be confident of selling out a UK arena tour, they should play a couple of dates at the O2 in London, or a 5-10 day residency at somewhere like the Albert Hall.
Make it a ticket that people are want to buy, and a gig that people would be willing to travel to - an event.
My expereince of seeing VH and DLR at Donnington in the 80s, is that as many metal fans hated them as liked 'em. I don't think outdoor shows are their best environment, either.
They should do their own thing.THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment
