They need to fire whoever the fuck is in charge of the editing at CBS. The song is called "She's The Woman", not "He's The Woman" you dumbasses!

What do you expect? The people technically should never have fucking heard Down in Flames in the first place because it was UNRELEASED. Nobody bought Down in Flames. Why do people have to be schooled in song sections?

The internet has made people think that pissing and moaning about things that aren't important is acceptable.

            It's not, it's petty.
            oh shit

Hell, if ripping yourself off is a crime wouldn't AC/DC be in jail years ago.....even they admit to ripping themselves off.

The songs written were demos and bands from the Rolling Stones to the Beatles have gone back and used material that didn't make the cut years after the fact.

This just tells me the music is so good that the have to reach way back to have anything to bitch about or try to stir up controversy!

Spammy's comments a few months ago about Ed using old songs to make the new album is fueling this.

Fucking chicken fucker piece of shit.

Ed has been going back to HIS repertorie of riffs, etc since the first album -- (and take note Fagar, he was still doing it during your faggot years in the band).

It looks like someone forgot or accidentally deleted the capital "S" there. Sloppy writing by someone who flaunts his or her utter lack of basic knowledge about the band -- and an editor who doesn't give a damn.

Ed claimed he had 10 albums worth of material... I would imagine it was all aimless meandering as evidenced by the porno soundtrack he did. Going back to their roots was a brilliant move and probably an excellent way to get Ed focused and more disciplined in his craft. I'm not 100% convinced that we are ever going to get another Van Halen album (man, I wish they would follow the lead that Black Country Communion is setting... they are doing their 3rd album over the summer) but if we do, this 'rape of the vaults' was the perfect first step in getting back in the ring.

Exactly - but we don't know if it really was a complete 'rape of the vaults' until the album is out.

Ed has been tapping into his own stuff for ideas for decades - but I do agree going back to the way he played back in the 70s was the perfect way to get the band energized again. To recapture the essence of CVH, I think it was a great move.

I had no problem with Tattoo or She's the Woman (sure half of it's old and the second half is new and is great), but I hope there are songs that were done from scratch. EVH has good stuff that was unheard from some of the NAMM appearences.
I don't put any stock in anything the media says. If the tunes are powerful and solid and I want to hear them more than once, that's fine.

Remember the media also fueled the Monkees not playing their instruments.

It was a TV SHOW about a band. Guess that was too much for folks to understand.
