Actually - hotel+flight options for London to Vegas for c.750ukp. For now anyway.

      This is looking possible.

Two points here, check for flight only, and you're not staying at the fucking Stratsphere, trust me

I don't know your situation, but coming so far you might want to make a week long holiday of it. May is the best

weather in Vegas imo and it is prime pool season.

The only time I been to Vegas was in May 2000. Three days. Lost most of my spends 'early doors' as we say here, in the casinos ... It was a phase I was going through, I guess you could say. Never saw a damn pool. Stayed at that hotel where they blew up the ship out front every night. Can't remember now ... Yeah, Treasure Island.

Best thing was driving from LA thru the desert.

Spent the last 20 minutes looking into New Orleans but the flights are expensive.

I think Katrina has still fucked that place up, almost no direct international flights and none from Europe I can find.

Manchester to Vegas US $915.00, but you have to change in LHR and San Fran.

Been looking at Oakland, 'cos it's later and I have a sister a coupla hours away in case I run outta cash ... But there are too many variables. Its a Sunday gig - June 3rd - but I think it's a matter finding what days are best for the flights. Tues to Tues seems cheapest so far, but then again Tues to Sun, or Thurs to Weds, etc., could throw up cheaper options. Will keep looking.

Been looking at various options on the East Coast as well, and even allowing for varying days from, say, 5-7 days and days of the week for outward and return flights fom London, it is all pretty much of a muchness - circa 500-600 quid. Decided to look at Charlotte, NC just 'cos I spoke to a charming Charlotte, NC, girl today ... But, it is ditto West Coast prices - the potential bummer with the latter coming from the UK is the extra flight time, and poss higher hotel costs in late May, early June.

If you go to Charlotte you are as well doing Greensboro as well.

Fly direct to Washington and then drive down.

You folks across the pond might want to consider Kansas City, Denver, Dallas or Houston... you should have no problem getting international flights into any of them. The later dates can help you swing the budget...

Don't git all worked up and scared about the wild west... they got indoor plumbing, paved roads, hot women and hotter bar-b-q than any of those east coast dumps...

Kansas City is not the "wild west." Denver is boring and Dallas is full of mexicans and drug gangs...

But Houston is close enough to New Orleans to enjoy a kickass Van Halen show and spend the rest of the night eating and drinking in the French Quarter...

I know Elvis... I was thinking terms of major airport hubs that have international flights. Plus trying to dispel media perceptions that they might run into Matt Dillion and Festus gang-banging Miss Kittie while trying to find a good Bar-B-Q joint in KC...

You did fail to mention having to navigate and fight your way out of the mexican and drug gang areas just to travel from Houston to New Orleans... not to mention the madness of driving in the Houston area alone is a survival feat not for the weak at heart...
