The bottom line on this is that it's a non-story...with the exception of the misleading headline.
Hardcore CVH fans have been clamoring to hear "old" demos reworked and brought up to date with full production for decades now. So it's a win for us.
And to casual CVH fans, there is no such thing as "old stuff." As far as they're concerned, the only stuff they know about is what was released on the six pack. If you line up 100 "casual" fans, I bet 98 of them don't know anything about "Big Troubles", "She's The Woman", "Put Out The Lights", or any of the other demo stuff that folks like us have been passing around amongst each other for many years now.

In fact, Van Halen is more of a Supergroup than the foot. 2 of the 4 members are arguably 2 of the very most legendary and influential names in rock music. And 3 of 4 share THE most famous last name in rock music.
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”
Is a Supergroup really a super group if you have to constantly remind the people that ....
1) They exist
2) what members are in it
3) from what famous bands they hail from
4) They exist
Thought the term "supergroup" applied to Cream, Traveling Wilburys, CSN(&Y), Humble Pie and the Yankee Rose band. You know, people with songwriting ability?
Chickenfoot are 3 detractors from previous bands - and Satch.
I bet they labeled themselves a supergroup too.
