Funny how this being a show/party behind locked guarded gates got the top secret, I will tell you but have to kill you treatment. But VH playing a public pub in NY with no gates or guards in a bigger crazier city was publicly known for a while.

The Roth Army - Membership has its privileges!!
I'm still in shock, and yes - my face hurts from smiling too!!! The band seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves and it sounded like it. I was 4 people back from the stage between DLR and EVH...never have seen them that close (7th row in pretty much the same spot in '84, but this was waaaaay more intimate). Thanks again to SARGE, VA, DDE and everyone who made this possible. I'm still awestruck. Complimented Ross Hogarth on the production, Dave's sisters are awesome, too. I'm glad I asked BAntonelli to come with instead of one of the girls I work with or someone who wouldn't appreciate the signifigance of the thing the way she did, pretty sure she had a blast too!
There was nothing "rough" or "ragtag" about that event...WTF show was that reviewer at???

Damn cool... Hogarth's comment months ago about it being the killing side of VH was dead on!! The band is tight as hell and kickin ass!!
Dave sounded great and full of energy... I ain't gonna apologize to no one for fuckin saying this but... the last part of YRGM with the girly ballet dancing and Shirley Temple hand gestures just don't fucking fit with the atomic bombs my ears are getting blasted with. And the camel-toe pants... Really..? Go find the Carhart over-alls... much more dignified for a middle-aged man your age and for this middle-aged man to watch... This shit is almost too good to be true, dude. Fucking great to see the Roth Army getting the recognition it deserves. This forum is a critical interface to the die hards out here and I wouldn't have made it through this roller coaster ride we call Van Halen without it. Now that Dave is back on the throne (he never left it, as far as I'm concerned) - lets hope for a 20-pack. Fucking A.Comment

Now that is what a Rock Band looks like..ahhh there are quite a few bands bringing down the house, but that DLR Ed Alex and Wolf band is just right on time.

I have listened to a few of the 90 second clips and a few 90 sec bits of these latest vids , never a whole song, I am keeping it all fresh for the day I ruin what is left of my old speakers.
I almost wish Van Halen was a bar band and only a few of us knew how good it was seeing them like this show is just the best way. Damn ! I wish I would have been there.

Yes, there was free beer, champagne and vodka, and the drinks were STRONG...at one point my statuesque, gorgeous bartender (kinda looked like jerri Hall in her prime, only hotter), adds an extra shot to my drink - I said "Geez, woman - you tryin' to get me drunk?" Without missing a beat she says "So I can take advantage of you - DUH!"
