Very cool. So much history in that room. It's amazing to see them sitting there talking like old friends in 2012. Just makes me happy. Long live the mighty VH!!

At one of the points they were talking over each other, did anyone else hear Ed say he and Al also played the violin?

      Oh dear.

Some of those photos ... very cool. A real surprise.
Definitely more! I love this stuff - could watch it all day. Al's body english at the start seemed like he'd rather be anywhere else - but then he and Ed both seemed genuinely pleased to be asked serious, respectful questions by Dave about their family history. For his part, I thought Dave was trying his hardest not to interrupt, but he's obviously used to being the talker and not the listener. A fantastic bit of VH history that I seriously dig, this band just keeps on wowing me in every way. Thanks for sharing this. The perfect way to pass the time while I wait for the stroke of midnight...

And let's hope this is part of a bigger picture documentary that will actually see the light of day!

I was thinking the same thing... but it's so obvious that this entire brilliant marketing campaign is Dave's brainchild, we'll cut him some slack.

Still, I could watch HOURS and HOURS of these three sitting around, shooting the shit...
Maybe this is what a heroine addict feels like after getting a long awaited fix, shooting up in the corner of some abandoned building and just not giving a fuck about what the rest of the world thinks...TATTOO"

I FUCKING LOVE this shit. Fucking love it.
In all my years as a VH fan, I've NEVER seen an interview with Al, Dave and Ed TOGETHER much less Dave interviewing Ed and Al.
Within the last 20 years or so, bands have been recording and releasing EPKs (electric press kits) which always went to the press/media but never to the fans.
What we're getting now from VH is essentially segments of an EPK posted and streamed online for EVERYONE to see. Brilliant...and about fucking time!!!

                  One word: MORE!

Really cool... I'm assuming the choppy video is for effect and not lag due to traffic..?

                    So where's the bass player..?

Phenomenal stuff! I was hopin' there'd be some of this kinda stuff on the DVD. 6-8 hours of extras would do me just fine... The history they share... Easy to see how alienated they could become when the thing derailed in the heyday. Buds since HS, stomp the world into submission, and it went south. It had to be a helluva traumatic experience! You can sense how intelligent these guys are, we already knew that from the stellar tunes all these years. Too much of this shit is never enough. I offer you... VHTV! 24 hours, all Halen, all the time!
No light at the end of the tunnel, due to budget constraints...

Obviously, everything is scripted. It's a brilliant way of controlling your own interview and bypassing the media.
