Like I said in the thread this originated in, I trust in Dave. He knows what he’s doing. I just feel that the headset is out of place for Van Halen is all. The way Dave works a mic stand is so influential. Shit, I want to carry a mic stand wherever I go and make believe it’s my dick. Why? Because Dave did. A headset just isn’t the same. I’d just end up looking like one of those douches that you think is talking to you, but they aren’t. They have a headset.

I’ll take Dave as I can get Dave, I just prefer the mic stand.
