I hope VH says "Fuck You" to any SNL appearance.....
It has a few funny stars right now. Hader, Sudekis and Samberg are very good.

The problem is, that not used as much as they're supposed to be used. Rather than have them be the next gen. of stars, for some bizarre reason they find that airing sketches featuring Kristin Wiig and the other unfunny women on the show as being quirky and weird

it's not funny, and it needs to stop, along with people like Whitney Cummings, Zooey Deschannel and Chelsea Handler should not be getting gigs on TV simply because they have a hot rack. They suck. And need to STFU.
Still waiting for a relevant Browns Team

They have other options besides SNL, like Letterman, Leno, Kimmel, Conan, etc...

I bet Letterman would want them, along with Conan.

The last time I watched SNL, The Rock was the host and AC/DC was the musical guest.

Even though I think Jimmy Fallon is a boring douche ---- he was spotted at the Cafe Wha? gig so I'm sure he'd love to have the Mighty VH spice up his stinky TV show.

Promoting the Album going forward.....Stern, Leno, Rolling Stone$

Does dave and Ed visit Stern in Studio, 20 million listeners, do they hit Letterman, Leno. If they visited Rolling Stone, that would get them the Cover, have they ever been on the cover of Rolling Stone?

They do not need to. They are publicizing it on their own terms. And the public demand is so overwhelming, the public is coming to THEM. It would be beneath them to appear on Leno, Letterman, whatever. It is not necessary, as their tour is going to give them all the publicity they could ever ask for. Oh, and the new MONSTER KICKASS STUDIO ALBUM! It is promoting itself just by being so kickass!

I'm praying for a Stern appearance by at least Roth.

With Roth back in the fold, Van Halen doesn't need to go out and shill for bidnezz.

All it took 'em last time around was one press conference, put the tickets onsale and that was it. Every date sold out, with virtually no interviews required outside of the usual GW stuff w/Ed (and that would have transpired anyway, regardless of the band having done anything or not) and, I think, one interview with Alex in a drum mag.

This time around, a brief, pseudocryptic internet announcement, the Cafe Wha? gig, the Tattoo single, put the album out and shazzam! All the pre-tour publicity work is already d-u-n done.

The Van Halens choose to be musicians only. They are not marketing geniuses or PR wizards. They make songs and play them. Their only care for the fans is to show up and play. I think their philosophy is if the music is good, people will hopefully want it. Why not if you look at it from their perspective. They always just did what they do and it sold tickets and albums. They never really ever had to sell it that hard.

From a fan stand point is makes the band look bland and uncaring. Frankly I find the Van Halens boring as hell but they do make good music time to time if they have the right people involved.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
