What is "Brown Sound" I Always Hear Referenced About EVH

      For me, the brown sound is all over Fair Warning and Diver Down in general, on "Hear About It Later" and the opening bits of "Little Guitars" (after the flamenco part ends where Al's drums start up, when Ed kicks in on top of them with that weird, chuggy riff) in particular.

        If there was a digital example of 'Brown Sound' online at wiki or something, this would pretty much cover it.
