I am thinking about getting tickets to see Van Halen on 8/10. Only problem is the tickets that are coming up are right BESIDE the stage. Does anyone here know if those seats will have obstructed views? If anyone wants to see a seating chart. Its Bilo Center - Section 104 Seats 8-10

There aren't really any obstructions on the side. I assume you'll be above floor level, so everything should be fine. Go for it!Originally posted by wiseguyThat shit will welcome you in the morning and pour the milk in your count chocula for ya. -
I agree. You could be almost behind the stage and still see just fine. I notices some folks there last night and they looked they they were having a good time.Comment

I sat side of the stage at MSG......seats were fine.....better than fine......very cool actually....and Dave plays to the whole stage/arena anyway. It was cool where i was sitting cuz I could see them easily onstage and could see them backstage during the solos chilling out, drinking water, bullshitting, etc....go rock the fuck out and have a great time!!!Comment

Wait. You can do better closer to the show. Don't fall for that Ticketbastard bullshit like I did in '07. They will release good seats within a couple weeks before showtime. You can even score really good seats the day of the show.Originally posted by Tiki-Tom You're one classy tattooed bombshell in my book.Originally posted by rustoffa

I've elected for side stage seats for the majority of the shows I've gone to. As long as you're no worse than 90 degrees to the stage you're fine. When you start getting on an angle under 90 degrees, moving towards being behind the stage, then you will have an obstructed view.
Also I totally agree with Sparkie, good seats always pop up a day or two before the show on Ticketmaster. With that, and the fact that prices will come down on StubHub, there's no reason to panic. I rarely buy tickets to arena shows more than a week in advance anymore.Comment

Hey psycho, please get out of my Van Halen T-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up.Comment

All production is hung from the lighting trusses. Monitor engineers, guitar techs, etc. are all on the floor. No obstructed views at all on this tour, so if you can get tix right to the side of the stage, you are going to be damn close to the action, even if you are viewing it from the side.Comment

I was on the upper level on the next-to-last section sold, on the side of the stage.
Had no problems seeing everything, despite the elevation and side angle. In fact, I was a bit surprised, since when I bought the tickets and saw the section I thought I'd have a shitty view. It's like Hardrock said, in terms of where the lighting rigs are and the offstage support; with the layout of the stage this year, there's really no "bad" seats in terms of having your view obstructed.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

Your absolutely right.......I waited till the day of the show and Stub Hubbed it for less than face value......Ticket cock always releases last minute tix too....they didn't have any for MSG but plenty on stub hub and people panick cuz they think their gonna eat the tix and the prices drop dramatically.Comment

I totally agree. I got 11th row in Tampa a few hours before the show and 4th row in Jacksonville also just a few hours before show time. Not to mention the guys in the parking lot. Just bring a pic of the seating chart if you go the scalper route and you're golden.Originally posted by wiseguyThat shit will welcome you in the morning and pour the milk in your count chocula for ya.Comment
