I hear ya. It's gonna be sad for me someday, but right now I can't wipe the smile off my face!

For me, and I hate using these armchair psychologist words, but what I am feeling is a sense of closure. These are things I never thought I'd see.

When they started talking about their light show, I thought for a fraction of a second, that Dave might bring up how Mike worked the lights with foot pedals as he mentioned in CFTH.

These guys could talk about end table lamps at their folks houses and still have me on the edge of my seat.

Crazy seeing the white pick guard on the pre-red paint black & white guitar.

If this is the swan song, they came back, proved without a shadow of a doubt that they can kick everyone's ass if they have too, and gave us hardcore fans stuff like this. I can not complain.

Thank you Eddie, Alex and Dave.....
And that's why I'm trying to get as many shows as possible. If this one did not happen would have been able to rest comfortably, if this is it so be it as it can't conclude any better on Perfect in every level, disc, tour/deep tracks, EVH at finest Ever and realization that as we all age it's not possible to top this anymore. Expectations are way too harsh of these guys, 5 more years from now it may be even harder on Dave vocally. Point is it may be the right thing to do, end while at best possible band peak. That is acceptable, what's not is my buddies point, no they don't have to retire they can do tour with Sammy years from now, that is a more painful thought than having a dozen kidney stones on both sides, passing and stuck as not even dillatid IV can relieve..........

Man, I kept waiting for Dave to ask Eddie if he still had that bomb PA or whatever happened to it. Woulda been fucking cool if Ed said "yeah. It's somewhere buried in the back at 5150".

see the handshake between Dave and Ed...they shake each others hands seem to let go and grab again...that's something you don't fake between people...this shit is legit!

I didn't like the handshake for this reason--it's symbolic that this is strictly a business relationship. Seems like it's an amicable one for now, and that's fine, but that divide is always there, always looming. It's the DLR camp and the Van Halen camp. I don't think you'd see those kinds of mannerisms in other bands.

Now that all being said at the end of the day as long as they're making music together, they can shake hands and behave however they want for all I care.

Nah... Thats just Daves style. Just a simply saying great talk about old times imo. Ed and Al would prefer the knee slap. Thats Eds style anyway, if you read what people that interview him say. He does that alot.

Now I feel better knowing that the mighty Diamond Dave gets up at 5:00am like most normal folks do that have a job to go to.
