Even after seeing the youtubes of the shows prior to the San Diego one....the whole pre-show I sat there with my fingers crossed that it didn't hit the fan. It wasn't real until they hit the stage. It aint happening until it really happens. It could still have the plug pulled at any time. A fight? An argument? A tantrum? Fingers crossed & holding my breath now. Fuck....fuck....fuck......fuck.....hurry up roadies....fuck.....fuck.....fuck

Eddie on You Really Got me and Dave above waving giant red flag

    ITS REALLY HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

tears of joy. Best I have ever felt in my lifetime was that first 30 seconds seeing them for real. I swear I left my body & my spirit was floating around the arena looking down at myself being a drunk, blubbering, screaming, singing & dancing idiot.

    Good times. Damn good times.

Allstate Arena has been a hotspot for Van Halen so far. They've always knocked the fuckin' walls off of that joint everytime.
agreed as i was there as well!!

Can so totally relate! I saw them at MSG ( a couple of times, plus Mohegan) from the 7th row on 11/13/07. Was about 6 months pregnant and huge! Once they hit the stage, I was jumping around like a 15 year old, crying like a baby. First time I had ever seen the real Mighty VH live, and the feeling was indescribable. Was definitely an 'out-of-body' experience! I thought that was a great show as well - hard to be objective though. Have the DVD, but still - I'm pretty biased.

Agreed - the MN show was stellar. Saw them later in Iowa and was let down.

I'm so glad I didn't go to that Des Moines show. After Kansas City, if I had gone to another half-ass show I would have been fit to be tied.
