I always thought it was from somewhere in the first half of the '90s, along with his covers of Crosstown Traffic, Kicks, and Tramp. I used to think Traffic and Kicks were CFTH leftovers, but you can hear his "new voice" here and there throughout the songs, so it's definitely after ALAE, because YFLM is when he started doing that. You can hear that octave in these songs, but not that much, so '92 sounds about right. Maybe that's when he first started trying it. And I heard 1992 before from someone else, so I guess that's it. Maybe it's Steve Hunter on guitar? Or Kilgore? No way Vai or Becker.
