Is anyone else reading “Van Halen: Exuberant California, Zen Rock ’n’ Roll”? I am halfway through it and quite enjoying it. It's mainly about Roth. Alex and the bass player have barely merited a mention so far.

I was David Lee before I knew he existed. That is what was so fun about meeting Van Halen and DLR. These guys are older than I am....and by the time I got to know them they had already disbanded. But Roth caught me....as Valerie said "Dave knows how to treat people". I, like all of you, sometimes am shocked at the Hate people throw his way....like he should have made the Universe everything they wanted....it seems like he gave them a warm chair to sit on and since he left them they hate him for it.

I also used to be shocked....by the fact that I loved this band and was surprised if anyone had every heard of them...."Van Halen" they would say...."I have heard of them". But not like I had Heard them. These guys are my Paul and John.

I am so happy to see them out together again....so happy to hear a new album....and appreciative of this site. For all of those who salute the Toastmaster General of the Immoral Majority.
