We were never told about Dave using it to get chicks it was used to identify problems in the crowd. The VH show I worked was general admission with no seats on the floor. It was just a couple thousand people standing and they tend to move forward and people can get pinned and crushed up on the barricade. Dehydration is a problem. They had a big cooler of Gatoraide on the side of the stage for people we pulled out.
Yeah, I seem to recall they had a bottle of something. They just had these stunned looks on their faces when I ran off. Damn heart blocks and panic attacks! I was general admission front row with no seats almost every concert I went to. I was short so it was easy to maneuver "under" people to get to the front. That was the only time I passed out, but like I say, that was when my cardiac issues were first starting.

They had medical staff there as well. I was between Ed's microphone stand and that little stage extension that suck out into the audience. The thing is you don't see too much of the show working the barricade because you are too busy doing your job. During the guitar solo I could tell someone was behind me and I turn around and Ed is sitting on the edge of the stage and his legs are right at my back. I was probably two feet from him. He was into it too. His eyes were closed and he was like he was in some trance and he moves his tounge back and forth in his mouth like he's keeping time with it. He was wearing a black leather biker type vest with those patched up jeans. Up close Ed looked like he had some road miles on him. He looked a bit tired. He still put on a good show. Dave was grinning like a cheshire cat. I think he was having a good time. Al looked shit faced.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!
