Said polls/contests are bullshit for the simple reason that playing a musical instrument isn't a contest...

I mean, for me, a hypothetical "greatest guitarist of all time" would be someone who has a complete mastery of the instrument to the point where that person could play anything in any style. Such a person does not exist, because the instrument can never be mastered to that degree.

Honestly, the whole "who is the best guitarist" debate is something one expects from a teenager...or someone just beginning to play the instrument. The fact that GW still continues with this mentality after all these years...it's just a rather sad case of arrested development.

Besides, everybody already knows that C.C.DeVille is the best ever...

I don't know. Alot of it sounds really weak after all these years. Cheesy is the word for it I guess. I get how they had such a huge impact in the 70's but....... & I never liked any other lineup without Ace. Hell his own shit is cooler than most of the shit he did with Kiss ! He is a good player for sure. Gene & Paul do nothing for me without him.
