Realistically, what else does Michael Anthony have of interest TO talk about other than Van Halen? Nothing far as I'm concerned, and even the few bits Anthony DOES choose to talk about have been of little interest. I mean, he spent all those years in the band, saw all those lineup changes and the behind-the-scenes biz and his public utterances since being booted out have been so bland and generalized...shit, even after getting publicly dumped and still wanting back in circa late 1990s, Roth wasn't shy about telling it like he saw it. I can't decide if Anthony is a) taking the high road and being a gentleman about it, b) completely devoid of the ability to tell an interesting story re: his years in Van Halen or c) hedging his bets in case the Van Halens ask him to rejoin for a tour somewhere down the line.

Kind of getting in to the psychological weeds here, but I'd say it's probably 80-85 percent a and 15-20 percent c. The last interview of his that raised an eyebrow for me at all was the one he did with the Japanese magazine in '06. I wasn't a member here at that time, but I'm sure it must have been discussed. To me, it seemed like he opened up more than usual in that interview and included more "dirt" type stuff. For me personally, I don't have much outrage left relative to Mike being in VH- it is what it is at this point. My last bit of outrage would be used if Dave and the brothers ever did any sort of "farewell" tour and didn't include Mike- that'd just be wrong. Hell, they should tour with Mike at least one more time anyway, if for no other reason than it's the right thing to do.

Speaking of yesterday's show......how much of a pompous, drunk loser does marilyn Manson come off as......John 5 has been killing it on the show.....only thing worth watching.
