It went out of style, when the industry noticed how much sick shit young artists will do to maintain their careers...
Some rappers, for example, started out with no tattoos and now they're pretty much covered. Something to do with "maintaining the remnants of their masculinity" and "getting screwed by the industry"...Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

The only thing I'll say defending Dave, having lived in Japan for about 3 1/2 years, is that it obviously appears that he's really immersed in Japanese culture, and I can understand that....
It's really fascinating, and I regret not doing more travelling around the country.... I was too focused on hitting the bars and messing with the girls....

Dave has always had a history of immersing himself in whatever he is interested in, at any given time. I don't think this is out of character for him, at all.
Personally, I think Dave is overly intelligent, thus the reason for his varied and changing interests.

Yeah I know... can't avoid it. As I get older having an ounce of dignity seems more appealing with each passing day. Not that I always behave that way...
