first and second place go to two albums that have been out for over a month. One is a country compilation, the other a Rush EP. Then they get beat by Jimmy Buffet;s License to Chill., and finally a FACES best of. Wow, they are smokin!

      That's pretty awesome.

If this album doesn't go well..I'd bet the Sammy fans would say something like...their first album peaked at 19 and sold 10 million copies....or something like that...

What are you Roth guys gonna say if it does well?

We'll say it sold because of the Roth tunes.

        We can't lose either way.

          Who knows?
I'd probably say something about how well the thighmaster sold
in regards to cretins with money and a short attention span.

Was at the local Walmart today when I decided to peruse the Electronics sec when I happened to come across the "best of...."
they must have had about 30+copies(this was at 20:00hrs), they had it listed at #5, so I asked one of the clerks "how many copies have you sold today?" his answer................."just 2 buddy" then he looked at my t-shirt, and he said "guess you ain't buyin one eh?"
            Nuff Said..

As per my other post on this, Hits magazine has it pegged for 200k this week. This number is a combo of standing order, previous sales of best of and early sales tracking. I really think that number will fall flat and Jimmy Buffett is already a lock for #1 next week. At best it will be #8 or #9 behind a slew of albums that have already been out a month. If it does 100k I would be suprised. The returns are gonna be killer on it.

Well...when I think Walmart...I think trailer park. Like it or not...Van Halen is pretty popular with rednecks and white trash.

                            It's a greatest hits album.

                            Who cares how it sells?

Van Halen is winding down to half-filled venues, a bloated lead singer and a drunken ex-guitar god. Shameful way to end a career.

Don't even think the classic stuff should be sold in the same package as Van Hagar. Let Sam Halen rise or fall on their own merit.

Well I have no desire to buy the freakin crap(and I ain't no redneck by the way)
won't spend my money on it. Even if it means not puttin any money if DDLR's pocket, I just can't spend hard earned cash on anything that has VAN GAYGAR songs.
