That was jokingly in response to "what else do you need?"

I most certainly don't "need" an active member of VH washing dishes for a subsidiary project of Creed. I have no interest in what that would even sound like. What I am interested in is having the greatest yet most fragile band ever not have it's boat rocked by it's newest addition. Grind it out for VH or leave'em be. Right about now, I'm backing both Ed's "two bands" theory and the bulk of what Dave said in RS. I'm not speaking as a purist who demands Mike back. Just someone who's waited ions for something to happen who fears that something may slip into nothing again.

Nothing new. Just what has been repeated multiple times about the call, then the call back, then Wolf learning all the songs in 24 hours.

This is where legends are born. Make sure you get it right... 35 years from now he'll be repeating the same story to your grand children...

BTW did you know that Ed actually started out playing drums and then picked up playing guitar on Alex's axe while Alex was out delivering newspapers? Who would have thought...

There is no such thing as shitty weather just shitty gear. If what you live in and your vehicle is built for cold weather and snow and you learn to play in it, life is good. I purposefully moved where there is a lot of snow in the winter time because I wanted to play in it. Mid winter we always get down to at least minus 20F a night and I have no idea it's that cold in the warm and toasty house. It's fun to go out in the hot tub when it's that cold because your hair freezes.

I have camped out in the snow many many times. It's great. No bugs, no mud, no rain and flooding, no rocks under your sleeping area. Some of the most miserable times I have spent have been in a warm climate. One time in Guatemala comes to mind. I hate big spiders and annoying monkeys. At least in Minnesota you don't have big ass spiders and poisonous snakes. Going through jungle sucks.
No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!

It was a video smarty pants, and regretfully, it eventually opened. That "I'm so angraaaayyyyy!!!" type of music does zip for me.

You can hear the influences. I always liked Jack Casady's bass playing. Fortunately he likes to teach and you can take bass lessons from him. I did that a few years back and had lots of questions. He's into tone and after the class was over we had a good talk about amps, speakers, and pickups.

I always get comments on my tone and that tone really is from what I learned from Jack. It's from how you play the stings down to the speaker cabinet dynamics. That guy knows his stuff and thinks out of the box. He's not so much into the big loud amps blazing anymore but still knows how to rock it.

Jack had an old Versatone amp like what he used in the Jefferson Airplane days. He said he tried everything but nothing gets the grit as good as a Versatone. Sometimes I will use a 5150 head for overdriven dirt and I have a volume pedal on the front of it to bring it in and out. I notice Wolfie uses 5150 heads in a similar fashion. I also like a 15 on the bottom and tens on top. No horns. I drive 12's with the 5150 and mix that in. It sounds great. for the 10's and 15's I use power amps driven with an old Alembic preamp usually.
