Does Eddie Have Nightmares about DLR??

Does Diamond Dave inhabit Mr. VH's dreams?

Did JFK's finger smell like Marylin Monroe?

I think we all know the answers to both questions.

That said, here's my message to Ed:
Man...relax. Your legacy is eternally intertwined with the greatest rock and roll frontman of all time - that's NOT a bad thing! Accept the guy for who he is, drop Bette Midler, and give Dave a call. Drop the hate, man.

Oh jeez, would I have nightmares about a guy who just tried to sue me and then was forced to give up his case because he didn't have a leg to stand on?

dude, go home. look where you're at!

Of course Eddie has nightmares about DLR. He's going to great lengths to erase Dave's image and name from everything attached to Van Halen...he has been for the past 20 years.

He's a bitter, jealous, angry man.

He's the emperor...everyone else around him realizes that the only thing that will live on with Eddie after he's long gone is the music he CO-WROTE with DLR. Dave's content with that, and thus a mentally capable human being and inspirational to many.

Eddie Van Halen was once a great guitar player, and still could be...but is a sad mess right now.

I hope he pulls out of his slump, but I am not gonna lose any sleep over it.

        Not even close.

Dave dropped this suit with prejudice, which means he can reopen it, and that he did have a case.

Ed and Al tried to screw him out of royalties that were rightfully his.

Your info is a big bad zero.

          Course he does.

Classic Halen represented a time where Ed and Al didn't run the band, didn't have to handle the press, where Halen could do no wrong, and they never encountered half-full arenas.

He knows as long as Roth's still around the reunion question is always gonna be on the minds of many, especially now that the "Dave's all washed up" mantra Ed and Al chanted in the mid-1990s has been exposed for the bullshit it was.

Put it this way: If Ed and Al really didn't give a shit about Roth, and were totally confident in the music they were making/did make after Roth left the band, then they wouldn't even bother with making comments about him. Double goes for Red Cheddar.

I'm not sure steve.....Can a person actualy dream when their PASSED OUT?
If so, than no question that rant by Eddie van Crackhead at the Cleveland journalist was caused by sleep deprevation brought on by Years of nightmares. Because in his subconcious, Ed can't escape the fact that DAVID LEE ROTH IS VAN HALEN!!!:

                Take the new album

                Check out the website http://www.van-halen.com/newsite/bobw.html

                1) On vocals we have Sammy Hagar, DLR. They couldn't even spell out his fucking name!

                2) All video samples are Sam tunes (they're so classic!)

                3) If you see the TV commercial, there is no mention of Roth and you don't see him singing anything. For a Sam song, you see Sam sing - for a Roth song, you see Mike and Ed sing.

                4) Sammy live versions of Dave songs?? WTF? I know Sam has a shit catalog with the band, but that is bullshit.

I'm sure the packaging does not let on that he was ever in the band, not that I'll ever see it.

                What a petty bitch!

The Ministry of Van Halen "Truth" is in session. How ironic that the last Van HALEN album was...Nineteen Eighty Four.

Yup, trying to put Dave down the memory hole.

Excuse me? How do you figure Dave didn't have a leg to stand on? The songwriting credits all say 4 equal parts...so the money coming in should also be split four equal ways.

I don't think Eddie is worried about his legacy at all or has nightmares about Dave which is kind of crazy. I do know that former Beatle & rock legend Sir Paul McCartney worries about his legacy since Lennon's murder.
