Coming Next Month...A Tribute To Fallen Soldiers Of The Roth Army...

We have lost some heroic soldiers here over the years. The names Chantal, Al and MAX (to name but a few) resonate in our hearts and minds on a daily basis.

So what I propose is rather simple: Beginning on the 7th or 8th of June, and continuing as far as you'd wish, I'd like everyone to contribute stories, anecdotes, quotes...what have you to a thread I will be creating.

Let it rip. Speak of your experiences with these folk, as well as others that have seemingly dropped from view.

Show the love, show the heart, share the world experience that these folks offered you. Give back, in other words.

And take no shit from no one, just as these friends would not. Yet at the same time, effort to be decent. (Not that it's always called for.)

OK, I'll establish this thread early next month. Be there or be square, mother-fuckers.

All 3 were stellar posters, and are deeply missed. Still makes me a bit misty when I check my music page and I see Chantal's pic come up. Don't think I'd finished building it when she was one of my first friends here to "like" the page. MAX loved my guitar builds, and Al.... was an original. Place hasn't been the same without them.

All three of those guys were great and take us straight to the heart of our little community - because when you take away all of the BS, all of the silly squables and ego-trips, what you actually get on this site, unlike so many others, are some wonderful connections.

I'm pretty sure Sesh said something similar awhile back...

But people can knock their socks off with tributes if they want, but there are already a bunch of tribute threads here (intentional or accidental ones that became intentional threads). I like to remember the dead, but I don't know the point of rehashing what already has been said. Are we only honoring Max and Al here? Because I'm pretty sure I was pretty upset a couple weeks ago reading their death threads while looking for something unrelated...

There's already threads here with a ton of stories, including Blondgirl777 who died tragically of cancer (is there a non-tragic way to die?). Or Flashbastard (was it?) that I think someone mentioned as dying of a brain aneurism. Why not just bump those ones?
