Back when 'Mammoth' was playing high school parties, the Van Halen brothers used to 'rent' the PA of one Mr. David Lee Roth, who was in a competing band at the time. Alex Van Halen has said that they asked David Lee Roth to join their band so they wouldnt have to pay him to use his PA anymore. (Of course, he said it in jest, as it makes for a good story...)
So back in August of 2000 when I originally joined this shizzle, I wanted to get real cerebral in my DLR/VH screen name reference, and come up with a screen name that represented the nexis, or origin, of the greatest band in the history of Rock and Roll...
I thought about what Alex had been quoted as saying, and voila!
"Dave's PA Rental"
