To be honest, as a DJ, I've been mixing those two songs together for years now, and it has never failed to get the desired result. Everyone jumps up out of their chair and goes berserk.
Could you imagine if Van Halen did something like that live??

Back in the classic days, I was completely jealous that audiences overseas got to see "Beer Drinkers", "Heartbreak Hotel", "Summertime Blues", etc.
I felt like "Why can't they hit us with something like that?? That would be fuckin' awesome!!"

Go back to being the coolest, most kickass bar-band out of Pasadena, California...and have some fun.

This whole "Nuthin' But The Hits, Babe!" approach to their shows, at this particular stage in the game, is kind of an insult.

Even at the US Festival when Dave went into "God Bless The Child", he had 400,000 of us going "okay...where the fuck are they going with this?" and it was amazing!
And on the '07-'08 tour, they broke into "Crossroads"...it was fuckin' beautiful!!!

That's what's missing in these shows as of late. They're just too goddamn predictable.

Do something to make these shows special, y'know?
Not only because it's the internet age where every show is starting to look identical....
....it's because we all know that they're so much more capable than that.

This is one of the most awesome kickass motherfucking hard-rock bands of all-time, and they need to start showing us why.

You sound like a 13 year old who thinks they're an adult sometimes. I'm surprised you don't say everyone you don't like are retarded. There are plenty of gay artists out there who are great musicians. Elton, Rob Halford, David Bowie. We even have our own gay artist, JHale. He's not a great musician but he tries hard.

Lol, yeah I figured It would actually fit Dave to sing it, but I am not a fan of it. But on the other hand I don't like original Pretty Woman either, but I like Daves version very much.

C'mon, don't be a hard ass. Dave could do a decent cover of that tune. It would be something to talk about.

Ok, dreaming over here. VH (with Mike) should crank out a cd of their rockingest covers of their club days. Walk Away, The Grind, The Fool and Me, Chevrolet, We All Had A Real Good Time, etc...

I wonder if they ever did this song. What if it was released and Van Halen became the new Van Halen. That would be awesome.

i never understood why cover bands get such a bad rap... all the great bands started out doing covers of their favourite tunes.

                                hell bridge, i'd buy that!
