Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!! -

Are you two ladies still fighting over this? Geez, back in the old days there would have been at least two meltdowns and one goodbye thread over this argument by now lol
I don't hate Dave. I just think the guy's stupid site reflects he total inability to grasp the importance of the interwebz. Sure, he's got his twatter feed and somebody is updating it. But his site sucks and since he made his triumphant return it hasn't gotten any better. Here's all he has to do:

New Roth Show - can't believe I'm asking for that. Might as well fireboard me
Archive of old stuff
Lastly - a new Roth Radio
None of that would require much effort on his end.American by birth. Southern by the grace of God.

Tell him to stop, Donnie.
He'd have to care for his fans, though.Comment

In the book on page 270, Ted Templeman, upon listening to two new tunes that the band had written since he'd last seen them, said of "Atomic Punk" and "Ain't Talkin 'Bout Love", "I really did my homework, and what I learned was that those were Dave's lyrics, and he was a great lyricist. And I knew he was smart. And that's hard to come by, somebody who's really, really bright like that."

Indeed, 37 years on and the questions about Roth, though rhetorical, still remain. I.e., Does he really rule the streets at night like no other? Where did he hear the news about her disease... and did he drive her down to the clinic in his crappy Subaru himself... or did he tell her to take the bus?
Yes Sir, as a "lyricist" the poetic genius in Roth is simply undeniable.
Come on,Ted, give us a break.Comment

Yet another tidbit I'm still wrestling with in the book is the reported request from Black Sabbath that DLR perform as a stand-in at the show for MIA Ozzy. That would have been quite the event it seems to me.
Beavrtek - proud "full on cocktard"! Thanks Administrator, cool cheapshot!Comment

Does anyone want to read Doobie Brothers stories?Writing In All Proper Case Takes Extra Time, Is Confusing To Read, And Is Completely Pointless.Comment

Might be fairly boring read... I ran into Patrick Simmons of the Doobies a few times at a local guitar shop in Santa Cruz, Ca back in the early 70's. He was having them build some pedal boards and amp repairs. Nice guy and pretty laid back."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment
