Another one of those classic genius posts, sure to generate responses. You log on the next day to see what your witty gem has produced to find no one gets it and 2 knotheads want to stick their dicks in it... Well played, sir!!Comment

Hey everyone,
Just a quick update about Van Halen Rising.
On Friday night I sent off a 115,000 word manuscript to the good people at ECW Press to begin the editing and book production process; the book should be out in the fall of 2015. (If you don't know ECW's stuff, they've done all of Neil Peart's books).
As many of you know, I started working on Van Halen Rising back in 2009, so this is a huge milestone as I look forward to getting the book in everyone's hands. THANK YOU so much for your support. I've appreciated the kind words and enthusiasm here at the links.
Just some of the topics/episodes the book covers: the origins of Genesis/Mammoth, DLR's Red Ball Jet's adventures, the backyard party days, Wet-T-Shirt contests, the Gene Simmons episode, how the Warner Bros. signing really went down, the making of VH1, and the 1978 tour.
I can make one promise: there will be page after page of stories that Van Halen fans *haven't* read about before. I dug deep to get the untold story down on paper; Among the 230+ interviews I did, I talked to everyone from Mike Anthony and Ted T. to DLR's and EVH's high school buddies.
If you know any VH fans who'd like to read the untold story of the band's beginnings and rise to fame, please do send them my way on FB or Twitter.
Best and thanks again -
