Is Dave's hair an issue?

IMO, most women do care what a man’s head of hair looks like. This is where I think this type of question stems.
There are a couple schools of thought here from women. Some actually don’t care what a man’s hair looks like; at all, it doesn’t matter at all.
Then there are the women that don’t want a man to “hide” a balding head. They either want it shaved or cut properly as long as it doesn’t look appear to be hiding a bald patch.
The worst statement a women can make is “it doesn’t matter whether a rock star has long hair or not.” That is utter and total bull-bag-yanking, mouth-full-of-horse-cock, bullshit.
If it didn’t matter, then long hair or a great-styled head of hair wouldn’t be the fucking standard.
If you look like the balding bad haired, refrigerator repairman from Saturday Night Live, you ain’t no fucking rock star.
If you wear an ill-balanced cap covering your shitty hairstyle and a festering nest of earrings along with the cheapest Wal-Mart chains stacked like a naked National Geographic pygmy, you ain’t no fucking rock star.
If you look like the dawning-of-the-age-of-Aquarius, stoner eyed, blonde-afroed, jackboot side burned, pocked lipped folk singer, you ain’t no fucking rock star.
So, grow it, wash it, comb it and show it. If a head of hair needs more repair than a good stylist, fix it; buy it. Don’t try and sell me the “it doesn’t matter” bullshit. Don’t think a back-side-of-a-goat-scrotum beard makes up for shitty hairstyle. First impressions matter if you’re a rock star. Sinead O’Conner wasn’t a cute bald chick. Henry Rollins looks like an out of control frat boy.
David Lee Roth looks like a rock star.
"If a couple of strippers are fist-fighting in the hallway and you lose sleep and you show up gnarly and testy in the morning, then you record the fast song"- on the recording of ALAE (Rolling Stone):DLast edited by jacksmar; 07-26-2004, 09:32 AM.A NATION OF COWARDS - Jeffrey R. SnyderComment

"To myself and other fans of DLR, I don't think Dave's hair is an issue. To the fans of Spam, however, it is ammunition for their weak arguments on why VH with Spam is better. Similar to the pathetic argument "I forgot the fucking words" quote from the US Fest show. You think those hundred thousand plus fans wanted their money back because of that? Now ask how many of the people who witnessed this years abortion of a tour how many of them would like their money back."
funny how the "dave is bald' is weak ammo...kind of like all the sam is fat threads huh? daves bald, sams fat, ed looks like side show mel....who gives a fuck about any of that shit. if the music is good, people will buy it...if it sucks, they wont. VH is past any image issues. They are old(er) men, image doesnt matter anymoreComment

Roth looks better now that he cut his hair, or got rid of the weaves, or whatever he was doing.
Guy put on a great show in 2002, but he did look ridiculous. Agreed that cosmetics/appearance are secondary to the music, but let's face it: the dude was lookin' silly.
Think Mike Anthony has aged the best out of those who have passed through Van Halen. Sure, he's not slim, but then again he was always a tubby little bitch.Scramby eggs and bacon.Comment

I think it was an issue at some point both for fans and for the Diamond one. That being said he looks great now. Finally got his look right. Shorter hair, not bleahed out. He's in shape. Looks healthy. I'm just pissed that he seems to be out of circulation again. I really hope it's not the return to Vegas I keep reading about.Danger in the rearview mirror there's trouble on the wind
