Actually there has been some studies done where people who were quite talented with hunting, tracking and general skills used in the outdoors all of a sudden lost a lot of their natural talent when their hair was cut short. It was determined that subtle air movements and motion perception was directly effected because it was tied to nerve impulses within the scalp... hair being a receptor.

Kinda like why dogs with long droopy ears are such good trackers.

Casino & festival promoters, as well as other venues hit the jackpot when Dave rolled into town.

The same thing still happens nowdays, with acts like Cheap Trick and Ted Nugent. Tickets usually cost $50 to $70, and the shows draw anywhere from 1000 to 3000 people. The venue earns and keeps all liquor sales.

I'm not talking out of my ass here. Van Halen also has a guarantee amount. They get paid the same no matter how many people show up.

You have NO idea how much of that money they DONT get.

Never mind multiplying the ticket price by the sales on any given night. That has jack shit to do with the band's gross, and EVERYTHING to do with the promoters. Without whom, no touring act, no matter how big, could operate.

I suggestion you read up on the touring business, before assuming such elemental conclusions.

Even though my assumption resulted in an overestimation of Roth's take from a 3,000 seat venue, the fact that the reality was a much lower payday only tends to bolster my elemental conclusion (being that Dave wasn't gonna make millions on the road as a solo act after all the expenses were deducted). I'd agree that it was a bit simplistic to merely multiply seating capacity by ticket price to get a ballpark figure, but frankly I couldn't be bothered to do the research. It's of little import anyway, because even though I did the math wrong, I still got the right answer.

Look at it like this , Dave being back in his rightful place as front man of van Halen , touring and releasing an album wiped the history books clean of the van horrible era .
Even if they do fuck all at least they are stopping van Hagar albums from being created ..... Dont say Dave is lazy think of it as Dave saving us from .....

David's hair always looks good to me. But is there a recent pic of Edward I haven't seen? Because it seems that #2 cares more about her extensions than she does Edward's coif. Which is a damn shame.
