I'll share my first VH experience with all you fuckers here.........

I was sitting in my garage learning the latest KISS tune, Our drummer comes running in and says "Dude, you have GOT to hear this" and hands me VH 1 the day it was released.

I put the tape in and sat back for a listen and then my life as a guitarist changed.

I sat there with my jaw on the floor, goose bumps all over my body and thought to myself "Damn, this dude is On Fire".....the rest is Van History.

Not one Spam Halen release ever gave me that feeling and the day Dave left the band my heart sank.

People, this whole Singer War has stressed us all out, as it should have, because on the day Spam entered that band we lost the greatest mixture of RAW talent in 4 guys that ever hit a recording studio.
For the rest of my life to this point i have wondered "What could have been?"
I don't blame you young people for liking Spam, you didn't know any better and that is par for the course since you never saw the "Mighty" in Van Halen.

When Dave left, he took the "Mighty" with him and as hard as that is for you to understand.... It's ok, because with great magic comes great frustration and change.
Someday you will get it and you will understand that when it comes to Van Halen as a whole........Dave brought it, Spam just rode it...

my first listen of VH, came around 82. I was 11. my friend who had two older brothers brought VH with him to my house one afternoon to play on my "new" record player. RWTD, eruption--- Daves voice and Eddies guitar... HOOKED.

I whined to my parents to take me to the local record store where I got 1,2,WACF,FW and was informed a new album(D>D) was due out soon...

someday my son and godson can tell there story, as I have passed the torch, so to speak... Classic VH...nothin better!
