All that you mention here, plus plunk-plunkey synths and teesh-teeshy snare drums.

I dunno - it doesn't look good now but it just seems horribly wrong to call any Ramone 'not cool'...

Well.... Johnny was a Republican, so he was sort of "not cool" for that reason. It never bothered me until he made a pro-Chimp speech when the Ramones were inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Just wasn't the time or place for that shit.

Thank all that's unholy he didn't write the lyrics, and actually let Joey get away with "Bonzo Goes to Bitburg" and "The KKK Took My Baby Away".

On the subject of band height I always thought Joey was to tall to be in a band , he was like a giant when I saw them . Obviously being up on a stage didnt help .
                        fuck your fucking framing

Yeah, he was just a bean pole. And poor Joey.... he really looked out of place on stage during one of those rare songs when DeeDee sang the lead, and since he didn't play any instruments, he just had to stand there and fuck around with the mic stand for the entire song.....

Seriously? I don't automatically dislike someone because I don't agree with their political views. They're entitled to their opinions just like everybody else in this country. If I disliked every liberal actor I might as well tell Time Warner to turn the cable off. If I disliked every liberal musician I'd never turn the radio on. There's more to life than politics. Unless their spewing their political opinions in their music or in movies or tv I really don't give a damn what their views are.
You're starting to sound more and more like Adolf Hitler everyday. You want everyone to think like you and you act like anyone who doesn't should be taken out and shot. You sound like you're on a mission to save the planet from the evil republicans and conservatives. There's plenty of evil bastards on the other side too.

Hang on there C dog; I've seen you be less than respectful to people because of their position on various issues. But then, so have I.

In Oz, we call this 'playing the man, not the ball'. I guess we're all guilty to a degree.

1986 was a great year for me. Chernobyl, Challenger disasters notwithstanding.

Every thread doesn't have to include politics. I respect Ford for standing up for what he believes in but at the same time I get tired of seeing nine million posts a day about how every member of the republican party is evil personified.
It's not even his political views that annoy me. It's the constant bombardment. A little less political commentary wouldn't hurt anyone. Doesn't anybody else come here to get away from reality? Don't you get enough reality in your everday life as it is? Reality sucks. The world is full of evil people doing evil things every minute of everyday. That's reality. Doesn't mean I need or want to be reminded of it every minute of the day too.
