Just remembered. Had a roommate a while back who worked at Panera who would bring home the shit that didn't sell and/or the donation truck didn't want. Think they're coffee supplier was a company called "Distant Lands" if memory serves. Not sure if they are the same supplier to StarBarf's. Would so suck if they are.Comment

Atlas Music Group Signs the Van Halen Brothers
The brothers have just switched to a new publisher (presumably Mike had to sort out his publishing, or it remains where it was, with Warner Chappell administering it under whatever company Mike has established to protect his copyrights. He never sold off his songwriting credits).
I expect that on the new remasters that it will say something like this:
All songs written by E. Van Halen, D.l. Roth, A. Van Halen, M. Anthony. All songs published by Van Halen Music (Atlas), Diamond Dave Music, and Mad Anthony Tunes ... or something like that.
i.e., I don't think this implies anything about Ed and Al having control of publishing. Dave is too smart to sell away his publishing, you'd think ...THINK LIKE THE WAVESComment

From Atlas website...
Richard Stumpf commented: “Van Halen were the reason I first became an avid music fan, so it is both professionally and personally humbling to have Ed and Al join the Atlas family. Not many can say they defined a sound that would change the course of rock history – the Van Halens can. We are honored that these musical pioneers have chosen us to represent their songs for years to come. We will help ensure that new generations of music listeners are keenly aware of just how important Van Halen is to the music world and how incredible their songwriting is. Nobody combines melody and musicianship like Ed and Al.”
I still think the only way to revitalize VH to the masses is unreleased material..not rehashing old stuff..and a "new" live disc shouldnt be anything recorded after 1984...They sounded their best fom 78-82..us festival and Largo are out there in the entirety...make em official..
I would buy new music..not live music after 84..Comment
