Anyway, I personally think David Lee Roth looks more natural and just all around better from 2007-to now than he looked in 2002. In 2002, it seemed like he was trying way too hard to look younger. The pink or gold sequined suits, the blonde wig...To me, it all looked very artificial and yes, I would have preferred it if the 2004 Van Halen tour was with Dave instead of Sammy, but looking back...I don't think that the 2002 David Lee Roth "trying to be DLR from 1982" paired with the 2004 complete drunken trainwreck Eddie Van Halen would have made for a good reunion. Yeah, David would have no doubt been a great showman, but I feel like it would have really exacerbated the fact that Eddie wasn't in good shape that tour.



I feel that Dave is really embracing his age now and he just doesn't give a fuck about other people's opinions of his dress style. He is who he is now and he's not trying to be DLR of 1986 anymore. He's being DLR of 2015 and I find that to be really cool. Dave was always a leader, not a follower.

That was Charlotte in 2003. I was at that show, not far from the stage. This was an outdoor show, part of Speed Streets. Dave was the last act to play all week and the city shot off a wad of fireworks during Jump. Pretty bad ass. It was raining during most of the show and nobody left.

That was the day the ex finally got the fuck out of my house. Awesome day. The cunt moved out, I had a date and we went to a DLR show. Ah...nothing like it.

Well Dave is on stage singing and having a good time today like he did back in 2002. So who gives a fuck! I sure as hell was having a good time in 2002 getting drunk, building bombs and banging retired strippers--although not at the same time. LOL Nowadays I'm having a good time not having to worry about driving 200+ miles for reserve duty and I rawdog the mrs. whenever I get a chance. :D
