I got to the point where he was jumping up and down doing some strange kind of roley-poley motion with his hands as the guitar player butchered the intro. It looked like the warm up routine to exercise hour at fat camp.

This shit should be played as a intro every time before Hagar opens up his mouth about anything concerning Roth and Van Halen... he does everything Roth is accused of doing and does it worst, Panama on Kimmel blows this crap out of the fucking water!

I had to debate on giving a "thank you" - that shit is horrible....I honestly, 100% believe that I could play this song better than Vic. And the vocals...just...damn...

...and did you notice they had the video for Poundcake playing in the background...with Ed and Al cut out of it...I gotta admit, I'm more disappointed with Mike every time I see shit like this.

That guy has never been able to sing in key. He is flat practically always. Yay him.

Which I would also like to add, which one? Sammy or Mike because they are both way off. People it seem now think that singing at a high octave automatically makes something good, as if they live in Middle East where a man able to sing in a pitch like a woman is a mark of excellence. Mike is singing way too damn high on the back vocals and he has done that in the past as well. And for all the quote 'genius' of Edward on guitar, he has a significant importance to the background vocals of Van Halen as well and it is his midrange which provides the balance for the harmonies and the depth. Weird ass tongue cancer Eddie is the trademark foundation of those harmonies along with Roth (and this is important because Roth sometimes has other things on his mind than singing the chorus) which makes Wolf's high range attempts acceptable, though Wolf lacks the strength of the delivery which Mike has. Of course as a fan of the original lineup, I would like Michael back but he really is the most replaceable aspect of the group... oh, and Van Halen has always had an edge and been a little squared compared to the AOR norm and Sammy's deflated Circle shows he does not fit

As much as I (and most of you) despise Sammy Hagar..and despise most of his songs....he at least sounds almost exactly like the studio recordings when he's live. Whether you like the songs or voice or jot isn't relevant.

Dave has become a joke and has chosen to be so.

He needs to either get his shit together BIG TIME....or just retire and try to salvage what little remains of his legacy.

DLR in 2007 "judge us harshly".

I've been judging Dave harshly since 1992. He's been an increasing joke since then. And he chose to be a joke.
                      Shut up, fuckface.

I don't know if he just doesn't want to play the stuff just like Ed or what. Regardless, it comes across as mediocre at best to a guy like me who doesn't play geetar.
Victor Johnson is a solid guitarist but most players can't play like Ed. Vic's tone is all wrong for Van Halen. Most of Ed's tone is in his hands but you need a warm sounding amp that has the hell driven out of it. If you have the wrong equipment and not the right touch it sounds awful. Victor was the guitar player in a band called The Bus Boys. You know they went on the road with a comedian by the name of Eddie Murphy and did the sound track for a movie called 48 Hours. Here's Vic in the 80's. As you can see he can play quite well (check it out at 3:20).

He looks uncomfortable playing. I think he must only ever practice sitting down and then tries to adopt the same hunched over stance when he's standing up.
                            Very odd.
