Having a huge ego, does not make one a Narcissist. I have known a few with this psychological condition and a Narcissist is sort of like a vampire who sucks the energy from those around them in order to make themselves feel better about their own insecurities. They use the ego as a front to do so but they also then resort to pity (which is then a contrived act they are aware of) in intervals when their ego rubs those around them the wrong way and resort to their egotistic ways once they have been forgiven, meaning a narcissist uses ego to harm others and makes those around them feel inside how they actually feel themselves behind their character facade. Dave is more like a manic depressant and most hyper people are, with no desire to put down anyone around him to make himself feel better because when he feels great he actually believes he is all that regardless of what others think (A narcissist cares about what people think, that is why they act the way they do)... I believe Dave himself even brought that up in his book about never feeling in between, he is either high or low
