But when look past all the hired models in music videos... and take a hard look at the rare times an "actual" girl friend is captured by his side. All you can find is these circus side-show freaks that are not exactly pretty by any stretch. Plus for the most part display more masculine features than feminine... Ya gotta ask... WTF?

I remember reading an interview with Madonna and the question was posed, something like this - "Imagine you are the last woman alive after some disaster has wiped out everyone on the planet. You have to choose to be with one of the last two surviving guys, who would you choose: Simon LeBon or David Lee Roth?"

I seem to remember Madonna's reply was something like, "ughh - neither". The interviewer said, "you have to choose, it's your only means of staying alive". She said, "okay, Roth - but only if you make me."

It was always sort of amazing to me that none of Roth's former girlfriends ever went public with details of the relationship. Or even a chick he hooked up with on tour.

Far as I can recall, I don't remember seeing anything along those lines in print, ever.

Some pointed to that as meaning that since such a thing never happened, therefore Roth must have been gay. But I don't recall ever having seen a man make a similar public claim, either.

Not that it matters, but it's just plain strange when you consider how many ex-lovers of other rock musicians have come out of the woodwork to sell their story.

I think Dave was dating Sonia Braga at one point in the 1980s, too. She was a nice piece of ass.

What's out there... a single failed lawsuit against Van Halen that was dropped. A string of LLC's for all the various incarnations of Dave's musical career.

Yep - none of the above. A guy who went by the name of Budgie played drums on that album. He was later a member of Siouxsie and the Banshees. I think it was him. Think they got a woman drummer later, well after this, which was their debut album.

I used to own that back in 1979.

She never revealed if they were "dating" for awhile.

I don't see Brinkley on that dating list but I'd add her as well --- this girl I was chatting with seemed to be legit with her story.

Dave is on record on the Howard Stern show (it was between YFLM and his book) (or during the interview about his book) that he wanted to marry Christie Turlington. I remember Howard and Robin being shocked but Dave was dead serious.

He also almost married Apollonia but Prince threatened to terminate her employment or some such thing.

The "Kelly" girl wanted to get married. Dave describes it in his book. She wanted to "set up shop" but Dave said "I have a lot going on right now" as he just quit VH. I know that was "Kelly" because he said he was with her 18 motnhs and they trained for the New Guinea trek and trained together for "18 months". Check his book. It's all right there.

There were also other accounts about him and Madonna. If you look at the back of Dave's book, he has names printed one after the other without spacing "like a gyroscope" and Madonna is listed there.

Also, there are many accounts from Motley Crue, Neil Zlowzower who talk about the endless parade of girls. Zlowzower said that Motley Crue was not even close to VH with babes. Vince Neil himself Dave went to the show to pick up the girls.

Even in the "VH Early Years" one of the roadies keeps saying "there were ore and more girls for Dave"
